The SBC DAO Workshop (aka DAO Stanford 2026) will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Stanford, at the Arrillaga Alumni Center. Part of SBC ‘26.
The theme this year is “Back to the Drawing Board”: a chance to reflect on the trajectory of DAOs and rethink our organizational stack from first principles. If current models risk irrelevance, what new design spaces should we be exploring? This year, all talks will be organized as lightning talks of 5 minutes, leading into a set of three roundtable discussions.
The SBC DAO Workshop is part of an interdisciplinary series of meetings intended to support the growing community of researchers interested in DAOs and other digitally-constituted organizations. Previous events in this series have been held at Berkeley, Cornell, Stanford, Harvard, and the University of Tokyo.
